the nasal passage: the nasal passage is connected to the nose and mouth. there are hairs inside the nasal passage to push the oxygen down to the trachea and the size is different sizes there are no same sizes of the nasal passage and the color is gray and yellow. the texture is sticky and thick. The nasal passage is kind of like a passage to the kingdom. the hairs are the guards and no oxygen could get to the lungs if there where no hairs in your nose and to filter the bad air from the good air. the ways to the trachea is the hall to the kingdom and the kingdom is the lungs.

the trachea: the trachea is called the wind pipe if you ever hear it. (the size is 1 inch or 2.6 cm.) the shape is like a long cylinder. the color is white and pink. the texture is flexible, smooth, and muscle tissue the trachea is a part of the system that is almost biggest except for the lungs and the diaphragm. The trachea works like a pipe that is why it is also called the wind pipe.

Lungs: if you don’t have lungs you will die because you need to breath so oxygen can get through your system to help you live. the size when stretched flat it can be 80-100 meters squared. the shape is a cone. did you know that the color of the lung is pink and white for when you are born, and gray for when you are an adult. the texture is spongy and elastic. did you know by average you breath in 15-20 times per minute.

lobes: the lung have parts and there called lobes and lobes have lots of facts about them like the size is no size there all different and the color is pink white and when born gray. the texture is spongy and elastic. lobes are important because it has different functions in different lobes.

Bronchi:  the size of the bronchi 0.5-50mm squared almost 0.8-8mm in diameter. the shape is a C shape. the color of the bronchi is gray, and pink/red. the texture is very smooth. the bronchi brings the oxygen deeper into the lungs and then it is passed on to the bronchioles.

Bronchioles: the size of the bronchioles is 0.5 to 1mm in diameter. it looks like C shaped rings. the color of the bronchioles is red/pink and a little blue. did you know the texture of the bronchioles is slimy, spongy, and soft. the bronchioles bring oxygen deeper into the lungs.

Alveoli: the shape is small the shape of a sphere. the color is white and a little bit pink. the texture is spongy and feels like bubbles you can touch. and the alveoli can brake easily too.

Capillaries: the size is 6-8 microns about 5.5 microns. the shape is like a sausage that’s super small. the color is bright red and a little blue. the texture is brake able and again sausage like feeling and smooth. the capillaries are small but do a lot of work to get blood to the parts of the body.

Diaphragm: the diaphragm is a sheet of muscle that is round but not a circle its like a domed space. and its color is a pink faintish color and the shape is a sheet of muscle that is domed shaped too. the size is 60 – 90 mm in size. the texture is a smooth rapid feel.

Respiratory System

The Respiratory system is very important because if you did not have it you would suffocate. The diaphragm is a sheet of muscle in between the lungs and the stomach. the oxygen starts by going through the mouth and nose, the goes through the nasal passage the it begins. after going through the nasal passage it goes through the trachea. Next it is passed into the bronchi witch brings it deeper into the lungs. After the bronchi comes the bronchiole were it is brought even deeper into the lungs. At the end of the bronchioles is alveoli and connected to the capillaries. Capillaries filter out the carbon dioxide in the blood and goes through the parts then we exhale.

My favorite thing about spring is the trees start to grow green again. The reason it is my favorite thing is because the trees don’t just grow green the bud out and the grass gets green and flowers bloom.
